MY STORY: FROM PERSONAL STRUGGLE TO EMPOWERING OTHERS

Hello and welcome to Move2Freedom! I'm thrilled you're here, taking a moment to learn about the heart and soul behind this endeavor. This isn't just a fitness service; it's a reflection of my personal journey, my struggles, and the lessons learned along the way, which I now share with you.

My path to becoming a Health & Fitness Professional began not in a gym, but in a personal battle with fitness. As a young adult, I found myself unfit, unhealthy, overweight, and somewhat lost in life. This period was challenging, but it became the catalyst for a profound personal transformation. Exercise and training weren't just activities for me; they were lifelines that pulled me back to health and happiness.

THE BIRTH OF MOVE2FREEDOM

After reclaiming my health and understanding the immense impact of fitness on overall well-being, I developed a burning passion to help others experience the same transformation.

 

My journey wasn’t without its hurdles, and I encountered multiple setbacks along the way in the form of injuries, loss of movement and chronic pain, which I later understood were due to incorrect training methods and overexertion. Although these were challenging experiences they were completely necessary as they sent me on a journey of extensive education on how the human body works. Through this journey of education and self-exploration, I fell in love with human movement and all things health & fitness and realised how insanely resilient and truly incredible the human body really is. 

 

These experiences were pivotal as they helped shape my approach to training and overall health & wellbeing, leading to the creation of Move2freedom.

QUALIFICATIONS AND APPROACH

With over a decade of personal training experience and five years as a professional in the field, my expertise is deeply rooted in practical knowledge and enhanced by professional qualifications which allow me to take a multi-disciplined approach to health & fitness. I am a certified Personal Trainer, Neuromuscular Therapist, Movement/Mobility Specialist and Strength & conditioning coach. 

My philosophy centres around the 5 Pillars of Health & Fitness:

MY JOURNEY SO FAR

2008

DISCOVERING MY PATH

Initial interest in health and fitness during youth.
Phase of inactivity and personal challenges in early 20s.
Battled with being unfit, unhealthy, overweight, and a sense of losing direction.

2010

TURNING POINT: PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION

Pursued education as a Personal Trainer, Neuromuscular Therapist, and Mobility Specialist.
Faced and overcame various personal injuries.
Developed a deeper understanding of correct training methods and body care.
